Zack’s Tack does many things, some of them quite special. Natasha Mustapha has been the creative force behind the many visuals you see with Zack’s Tack and KL Academy of Polo, whether it is our merchandise, banners or on-line work. The rosettes for The Nala Cushion Polo World Cup is a work of art.
Using Nala Designs prints, the rosettes are distinctive. We may be the only ones playing a Cushion Polo tournament in the world, and while we cheekily called it a World Cup, it is unique. The rosettes are special memento that captures the spirit of this event.
The KLASADO is part of the event, the after-party of a World Cup, no less! It is KL Academy of Polo’s year-end Asado and Christmas Party.
KLAP has had a record breaking year, not least by putting 106 players on the polo field, and repaying the club for the support it has given us. It is time to celebrate – it’s going to be quite a party.
The Nala Cushion Polo World Cup is another special event we have created, something that is great training for the riders, great fun, and something that all club members can enjoy, whether they are playing or as spectators.
This year we also innovated the KLAP-KLPC Polo Challenge Cup and KLAP Open, held the 2nd Malaysia Youth Polo Tournament, A Day at the Races I & II, and brought back the Hookahs Charity Quiz.
We like creating new things, not just on the polo field or in the equestrian arena, but in Zack’s Tack too.
This is not the first time that Natasha has worked with material from Nala Designs.
In 2021, Natasha came out with the Nala Designs Polo Helmets in 2021.
Natasha created these helmets by fitting Nala Designs materials to the peaks, and by customizing other details.
We didn’t tell Nala Designs we were doing them, but when they were done, we got their seal of approval before putting them on sale.
Of course, these helmets sold out almost immediately at Zack’s Tack. It is easy to see why.
As unique as they are, we have been waiting for more inspiration to strike Natasha!
For now it is the Nala Design rosettes that you can win at The Nala Cushion Polo World Cup.
The owner of Nala Designs is Lisette Scheers (pic left), herself a polo player, and whose daughter and inspiration, Nala (third from left), rides and is learning to play polo with KL Academy of Polo.
Lisette also supported our Days at the Races with prizes from her Nala Designs boutiques.
Speaking of unique items, I recently returned from Argentina with a few nice pieces that would make great Christmas gifts.
Zack’s Tack has a few mallet bracelets, each different from each other. The twin polo mallets bracelet is unique in that, yes, we have only one piece.
